Gold Coast band SKINWALKERS announce the release of their 2nd EP “FALL OR RESIST” on the 8th July 2011 and the launch of their first Australian national tour kicking off on the 15th July on Sunshine Coast, touring through Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne.
The “FALL OR RESIST” EP was recorded earlier this year at Area 7 Studios in Sydney and mastered by Don Ruberto at Crystal Mastering Studios, Melbourne. Their producer/mixer Kalju Tonuma has worked with some of Australia’s top bands, including The Living End, Temper Trap and Bodyjar. But for him Skinwalkers are something else again, “easily one of the most exciting acts I have ever seen.” He immediately likens their rock ‘n’ roll attack to “the insurgency of The Clash”.
The EP has gained industry support prior to its release with the recent announcements of new management with Greg Sawers, distribution through Sebastian Chase at MGM and bookings through Hostile Entertainment (QLD) and Strike Hard Bookings (AUS).
All three share the song writing duties, but in a time of war, natural disasters, and economic crises, they felt it was important for the band to come out fighting in 2011. As the new track, ‘Dawn’ puts it, “This is not the end of the world!
