Revered for their brilliant live performances and superb musicianship, one of Australia’s most esteemed bands, the John Butler Trio will bring their ‘April Uprising’ live show to a few select regional areas with a short tour next month! With much anticipation for a live performance from the band in these regions their cherished fans need wait no more as the band are set to play in Albury, Thirroul, Port Macquarie and Bundaberg in May. Tickets are on sale next week, Tuesday April 12th – please see all the dates and ticketing information below.

Fans will experience an awe-inspiring two hour plus show as the John Butler Trio captivate the audience with tracks such as ‘Revolution’, ‘One Way Road’ and ‘Close To You’ from their new album, as well as a good dose of all time crowd favourites from the JBT’s vast catalogue.

Over the past twelve months John Butler and his new trio members, Nicky Bomba on drums/percussion and Byron Luiters on bass, celebrated ‘April Uprising’, the band’s fifth studio album, with fans as they conducted a gruelling tour schedule taking the band to new heights. As they simultaneously released the album in 11 countries and progressively toured each territory, they garnered incredible respect and rave reviews from fans and media along the way and are considered as one of Australia’s biggest music exports.

‘April Uprising’ combines the personal, the political and the musically memorable delivered in the live arena with skill, passion and precision from three adept musicians who’ve created an incredible bond.

Melbourne four piece folksters Husky will kick off the night at all shows. Lead singer and guitarist Husky Gawenda was granted a place at The Seed management workshop last year and coincidentally since then the band has received great recognition from media and music lovers around the nation for their new single ‘History’s Door’. With much anticipation for their debut album ‘Forever So’, expected to be released in July, you best get in early to witness the infectious and spirited live performance from Husky as they deliver their rich and beautifully crafted songs.

The John Butler Trio are ready to tune into and turn on their regional fans and fans to be – don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness what are guaranteed to be impressive performances from one of Australia’s finest groups.
