How a 17-year-old front 'man' can create such fine indie pop gems as showcased on this EP is really beyond this suddenly old feeling editorial hack. And the fact Jordi James' main songwriter-in-crime is only 18, well, it's enough to warrant embarrassment. Lead track Golden Revolver is quite simply one of the most smile-worthy tracks to come out of this state for some time, and the rest of San Cisco's heartfelt offerings show enough talent and diversity to leave an exciting impression on even the most jaded journos. Plus the smashing version of Tame Impala's Solitude is Bliss would leave anyone wishing they'd paid more attention in music class when young, and for a better deal in the music genetics department.
